A mortgage adviser (sometimes called a mortgage broker) helps you find, structure and arrange home lending that fits your situation. Instead of approaching one bank, you get access to a panel of lenders, and someone in your corner to negotiate, explain the fine print, and manage the application.
We work with a wide range of New Zealand lenders, including major banks and selected non-bank lenders, so we can match you to a loan that suits your goals rather than whatever a single bank happens to offer.

A few of the specific situations we work with most often.
Buying your first home comes with a lot of new terminology and paperwork. We help you understand how much you can borrow, get pre-approval sorted, and find a loan structure that fits your deposit and budget, KiwiSaver and First Home options included.
If your rate, structure or lender no longer fits, we compare the market and handle the switch for you, weighing up whether refixing, refinancing or restructuring your existing lending will actually leave you better off.
Growing a rental portfolio means understanding equity, servicing and lender appetite. We help you structure lending across properties, compare interest-only and principal options, and plan ahead for your next purchase.
A mortgage is one of the biggest financial decisions you'll make. Our job is to make it feel simple, and to make sure you get a deal that works for the long haul, not just today.
We compare lending across a wide panel of banks and selected non-bank lenders to find a competitive rate and structure that fits your plans.
We present your situation clearly and handle the lender liaison, giving your application the strongest possible foundation.
The market and your life keep changing. We check in as fixed terms roll over, so your lending keeps working in your favour.
Clear steps, so you know what's happening at every stage.
We talk through your goals, your budget and your timeframe.
We review your income, expenses and deposit, and work out your borrowing position.
We compare lenders and recommend a structure that fits, explaining the why.
We submit your application and manage it through to formal approval.
We coordinate settlement, then stay in touch to review your lending over time.
How we're paid. In most cases our mortgage advice is provided at no direct cost to you, because we're usually paid a commission by the lender you proceed with. In some situations a fee may apply, for example, if a loan is repaid early and the lender claws back our commission. If any fee could apply to you, we'll tell you up front and in writing before you proceed. Full details are in our Public Disclosure statement.

For most owner-occupied purchases lenders look for a 20% deposit, though lending with a smaller deposit is sometimes available depending on your circumstances and the lender's criteria. First-home buyers may also have other options to explore. We'll assess your situation and explain what's realistic for you.
Usually no, we're generally paid by the lender. In limited cases a fee may apply, and if so we'll tell you before you commit. See our disclosure statement for details.
Yes. Self-employed lending often comes down to how your income is presented and which lender you approach. We know what different lenders look for and how to put your application in its best light.
It depends on your plans, your appetite for certainty and the current rate environment. We'll talk through the trade-offs and often recommend a structure that blends both to balance flexibility and stability.
Absolutely. A re-fix or refinance is a great time to review whether your lending still suits you. We compare your options and handle any switch on your behalf.
