Business Continuity Cover

If a key person is unable to work

Business continuity cover is similar to key person cover, in that it provides a pay-out to your business in the event one of your key people is unable to work. However, business continuity insurance only covers illness or injury, not death or permanent disability; and pays out a monthly benefit, not a lump sum.

Doesn’t ACC cover me for that?

ACC only provides cover for injuries that meet specific criteria. Generally, only injuries caused by an accident are covered. This means there are a lot of conditions that are not covered by ACC; business continuity cover can help if a key person is unwell or sustains a non-accident-related injury.
